Beginning Well: A Series for a New Year

Campus is buzzing. (You probably noticed.) Maybe you have just perused your orientation schedule and are trying to figure out where the person who retakes ID photos is located. Maybe you have just perused your orientation schedule, wondering what to say to new students in your program. Maybe you have headed into your lab, just like yesterday, but suddenly there are a lot more people crowding your route.

Whatever your place on campus, we want to be with you on the journey. This “Beginning Well” series will connect you to many ideas from many people in the academic life. We have advice for new graduate students, advice for new faculty, advice for family members of graduate students, and advice for the rest of us. You are not alone. You have gifts to use. Welcome to a new academic year.
