Dr. Gordon Smith is the President of Ambrose University and Seminary in Calgary, Alberta, where he also serves as Professor of Systematic and Spiritual Theology. He has been with Ambrose since the summer of 2012. He is also a Teaching Fellow at Regent College, Vancouver, British Columbia. Gordon Smith’s areas of particular interest are the nature of conversion and religious experience, spiritual discernment and effective decision-making, the sacraments, and the question of calling and vocation. Dr. Smith has published several books reflecting his wide range of interests from topics such as Institutional Intelligence: How to Build an Effective Organization to Welcome Holy Spirit: A Theological and Experiential Introduction. He is an ordained minister of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Gordon Smith grew up in Ecuador and has also lived for a decade in the Philippines. He is married to Joella who is an artist and gardener, and they have two married sons and six grandchildren.

Danielle (Dani) Treweek (PhD, St Mark’s National Theological Centre and Charles Sturt University) is the founding director of the Single Minded Ministry and an adjunct teacher at Moore Theological College, Sydney. She also serves as both the Diocesan Research Officer and a member of the Archbishop's Doctrine Commission within the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, Australia.

Sara Carroll Johnson holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from Georgia Southern University. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she is completing a postdoctoral fellowship in health psychology with a focus in palliative care. While her clinical work is primarily with older adults, her dissertation research was focused on mental health and suicide prevention in graduate students. In her spare time, Sara can be found cycling, walking along the Rio Grande, and serving in her parish.

 

La Thao, who is Hmong American, is an InterVarsity campus staff in Wisconsin and previously served as the director of InterVarsity's Hmong Christian Collegiate Conference.

Dr. Mimi Haddad serves as president and CEO of CBE International and as an adjunct associate professor of historical theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and she holds a PhD in historical theology from the University of Durham, England. Mimi is an award-winning author and has written more than one hundred academic, popular, and blog articles, as well as contributing to over fifteen books. Mimi writes, teaches, and speaks on matters related to development, justice, faith, and gender. Mimi and her husband, Dale, live in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, and are involved in local ministries.

Jessica Hooten Wilson (PhD, Baylor University) is the inaugural Visiting Scholar of Liberal Arts at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She previously taught at the University of Dallas. She is the author of The Scandal of Holiness, Giving the Devil His Due: Demonic Authority in the Fiction of Flannery O'Connor and Fyodor Dostoevsky (winner of a 2018 Christianity Today Book of the Year Award), and two books on Walker Percy. She is also the coeditor of Learning the Good Life and Solzhenitsyn and American Culture. Renee Nicholas MA, RN, serves as the National Director for Graduate Healthcare Ministries with InterVarsity. She previously worked as an intensive care nurse in New Mexico and for 13 years as a clinic nurse at Lawndale Christian Health Center in Chicago. She loves being able to walk alongside healthcare students as they seek to follow Jesus with their whole lives. Renee lives in Chicago with her husband and two young boys and you can often find them playing at parks around the city.  

Nijay K. Gupta (PhD, New Testament, University of Durham) is a professor of New Testament at Northern Seminary. Previously, he was a professor of New Testament at Portland Seminary, where he also oversaw the Master's thesis program, and advises doctoral students. He is the author of the book Worship That Makes Sense to Paul and Prepare, Succeed, Advance: A Guidebook for Getting a PhD in Biblical Studies and Beyond along with Bible commentaries and over a dozen academic articles in theological journals.

Love Lazarus Sechrest is associate provost for program development and innovation and professor of theology at Mount St. Mary's University. Her scholarship is centered on womanist and African American biblical interpretation and New Testament ethics; she co- chaired the Society of Biblical Literature's African American Biblical Hermeneutics Section from 2012 to 2017 and gives presentations on race, ethnicity, and Christian thought in a variety of academic, church, and business contexts. She is the author of A Former Jew: Paul and the Dialectics of Race and Can "White" People Be Saved? Triangulating Race, Theology, and Mission. A second-career scholar, she previously worked as a senior manager in the aerospace industry at General Electric.

Dr. Grace Hamman is a writer, independent scholar, and podcaster (Old Books with Grace). She has a doctorate in English, specializing in medieval poetry and contemplative writing, from Duke University. Her first book, Jesus Through Medieval Eyes: Beholding Christ with the Artists, Mystics, and Theologians of the Middle Ages comes out in October 2023 with Zondervan Reflective.
