At the 2013 Believers in Business Conference in New York City, I found myself sitting next to a woman from Ukraine. When I asked her how she happened to be at the conference, she began telling me how she became a Christian through an InterVarsity Global Project in 1992, the year after the fall of the Soviet Union. She and her husband have now planted ten churches with their strategy to reach a previously unreached people group in Ukraine — young professionals. Over dinner the next evening, Maia shared her story.
