Anne Zaki has long been working to integrate her faith and her passion for social justice. She also has dedicated much of her time teaching seminary students about preaching, worship, spiritual formation, psychology, and communication.

Born in Cairo, Egypt, Anne was selected by the government at age 16 to attend an international school in Canada dedicated to peace and international understanding. Ever since, she has been cultivating a global perspective on life and faith, having served churches and church-related institutions in the U.S. and Canada for 13 years. In September 2011, nine months after the Arab Spring, Anne returned to Egypt with her family, where she has spent the last five years teaching. She has also spoken at gatherings like Missio Nexus, the Global Consultation on Music and Missions (GCoMM), and the Lausanne Movement’s Younger Leaders Gathering (YLG).

Anne has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Calvin College, a master’s in social psychology from the American University in Cairo, and an MDiv from Calvin Theological Seminary. She is currently pursuing a PhD in preaching from Fuller Theological Seminary and serving as Assistant Professor at The Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo.

Amy Whiteman Sherrill is a chemical engineer.

Amy Shorner-Johnson is the assistant chaplain and assistant director of religious life at Elizabethtown College. She is also a mom and wife and advocate. She Is an adventurer at heart and is most grateful for the work of spiritual direction.  

Alison Pichel is a wife and mother of two young children from the Twin Cities area in Minnesota. She works in an elementary school as a reading interventionist. Currently, Alison is pursuing her Master's in Literacy Education from Hamline University. She worships with a beautifully diverse community at Southview Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Alison is especially blessed that her children (usually) sleep through the night, her husband cooks, and Christmas in Minnesota will be snow-covered.

Charlene Brown holds a BA in Religion from the University of Virginia, a Master of Divinity from Duke University, and is currently in grad school plotting her way to medical school. She has served in an array of ministry contexts and is an ordained pastor in the Association of Vineyard Churches. She resides in the North Street Community in Durham, North Carolina, a community dedicated to living intentionally with men and women with and without developmental disabilities.

WAP Associate Lindsay Bruk is learning about God's promise of peace in a season of change. Lindsay is an attorney, adjunct faculty at Marquette University, and a new mom.

Sarah Cowan Johnson serves as the Executive Pastor of Sanctuary Church, a family of neighborhood congregations in Providence, Rhode Island. Her passion to provide strategic leadership within apostolic systems was cultivated during her years on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, where she served as the Area Director for Rhode Island & Southeast Massachusetts prior to joining the Sanctuary team. She has been married to her husband Greg for 13 years and they have two boys, ages 8 and 5.

Sr. Jocelyn Edathil SIC was born and raised in Philadelphia and reared in the Eastern Catholic tradition, namely the Syro Malankara Catholic Church. She went to Villanova University where she graduated with degree in Chemistry. She then went on to complete the MD/PhD dual degree program at Penn State, subsequently attending Temple University for Internal Medicine residency. Afterward she began formation with the Sisters of the Imitation of Christ (also known as the Bethany Sisters in India) and made her first profession of vows in August 6, 2016 in Elmont, New York. Currently she works at Temple University Hospital as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine where she teaches medical students and residents. She is heavily involved in Ethics, Diversity, and Humanism in Medicine. She speaks on a variety of topics including vocational discernment and intercultural communication as well as current trends in social media.

The Rev. Ellen Williams Hensle is the Associate Pastor for Youth and Discipleship at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas. She moved to Austin last year after finishing her MDiv at Princeton Theological Seminary. Ellen graduated with a BA in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also served as a campus staff minister for InterVarsity. When she’s not pastoring, she loves making music of all kinds and exploring her new home state.
